Group quality · inspection
Measured before it leaves. Recorded so you can see it.
First-off parts are measured against your drawing and sent to you to sign off. In-run checks follow a plan agreed up front. Tool condition is reviewed so wear shows up in a record, not in a reject.
The detail
Tool and part inspection, at group level.
Inspection at TCI Group is written down before the job starts. We agree which dimensions matter, how they'll be checked and how often. That plan travels with the job whichever division runs it.
The point is not a thick report. It's being able to show you, quickly, that the part in your hand matches the part you approved.

What's involved
Six parts of the work.
Inspection plan
Critical features, method and frequency agreed with you before the first part is made.
First-off report
Measured first parts, photographed and sent for your sign-off.
In-run sampling
Checks at the agreed frequency through the run, recorded against the batch.
Visual standards
For cosmetic parts, agreed limit samples so 'acceptable' means the same to both sides.
Tool condition
Repeat tools reviewed for wear, damage and release performance between runs.
Non-conformance
If something's out, you hear from us with the cause and the fix, in writing.

How it runs
Four steps, in order.
- 01
Agree the plan
Drawing marked up with the features that matter.
- 02
First-off

- 03

- 04
Review
Tool condition logged; anything trending gets flagged early.
Is it right for you?
An honest fit check.
A good fit when
- Your part mates with something else and fit matters
- You need a documented first-article approval
- Cosmetic standards have caused disputes with previous suppliers
- You reorder from standing tools and want wear tracked
Probably not the answer when
- You need independent third-party inspection — we're happy to ship to your inspector
- Metrology beyond what a moulding workshop holds — we'll say so upfront
- Parts with no drawing and no agreed standard — we'll help you create one first
FAQs
Common questions.
Do you inspect every part?
Only where the plan says so. Most jobs use sampling agreed with you.
Can we witness a first-off?
Yes. Ring ahead and come to Bidford-on-Avon.
What happens with a failed check?
The batch is held, you're told, and we agree the fix before anything ships.
