Case study · Culinary + Products
A food and beverage brand with a portfolio spanning two divisions.
Multiple product lines, one supplier relationship. Kitchen tooling for their production sites, branded silicone accessories for their retail arm.
The brief
What the customer arrived with.
A mid-sized food and beverage brand runs multiple production sites and a growing retail arm. They wanted to reduce supplier count without losing quality of relationship on either side of the business.

How it went
Stage by stage.
Production-site tooling — Culinary
Silicone moulds and trays for the brand's own product lines, sized to their production equipment. PFAS-free food-grade throughout. Documented spec fits into their food-safety files.
Retail accessories — Products
Branded silicone consumer accessories carrying the brand's marks. Retail-packaged, seasonally released, contract-manufactured under the brand's own label.
Design language
Both sides of the portfolio use the same designer at our end. Product families feel consistent even though they serve very different purposes.
Combined trading
One trading account, one contact, one paperwork discipline. The brand's finance team reconciles it as a single supplier.
Lessons
What we took from the job.
What we took from it
A food brand's own production and its retail arm often overlap in the moulded parts they need. Splitting the supply misses an opportunity.
What we took from it
Design consistency across the portfolio was easier to hold with one supplier holding both sides.
What we took from it
The paperwork consolidation matters more to the finance team than to the design team, but it matters to both.
