Buyer's guide
How a part moves between TCI divisions as it grows.
A part rarely stays in one division for life. Prototypes start in Mouldings and scale into Products. Kitchen tools in Culinary spawn retail versions. Here's what happens when your work crosses a division line.
Intro
How a part moves between TCI divisions as it grows.
Our four divisions are organised around what parts are for, and what parts are for can change as a business grows. That's normal. The important thing is that the move is planned, and that nothing is lost on the way.
This guide describes the common paths and what stays the same when you move.

Mouldings to Products
The most common path. A hand-cast or cast prototype in TCI Mouldings becomes a compression or LSR production part in TCI Products once volume justifies it. The same lead engineer carries the design history.
Culinary to Products
Food-safe kitchen tooling in TCI Culinary becomes a branded consumer product made by TCI Products. The food-contact material discipline carries across.
Construction plus Products
Formliners and precast tooling in TCI Construction alongside rubber gaskets and seals from TCI Products. Different parts, one relationship.
Mouldings to Construction
Heritage or bespoke decorative work that grows into repeat architectural casting.
What stays the same
Your lead engineer, your job history, your paperwork format, your trading account and your tool ownership.
What changes
The bench the work runs on, the specialist team behind it, and sometimes the route and material. You'll be told about each change before it happens.

In closing
One more thing.
If you're not sure whether your part should move, ask for a scaling consultation. The answer is sometimes 'not yet'.
